Found at my friends over at the Bannerblog (cheers to Australia!). Nice tandem/layer ad for Eletronic Arts by Wieden+Kennedy (NL). I am always happy if flash layers aren’t just snagged over the content section… but this one is nice as it uses the existing inventory spots (or at least seems to do so). Good job!

An article over at Creativity Online popped into my eye recently. It featured the current problem of agencies to attract “digitally-inclined” talent:

• “[…] the idea that an elevator pitch to a Google bigwig may wind up being the next Gmail is likely a stronger lure than stowing a Gold Lion in his suitcase on the hung over flight home from Cannes (assuming his agency sends his ilk to Cannes).”

I was facing a similar situation when I swapped my fancy agency job for a funky startup career. But what can agencies do about it? Some part of agency work is still very appealing. Other things aren’t. Like working for clients with the big wallet but without the big picture (which is most of the time not even their fault). Intrinsically not very rewarding, I can tell yer.

But here some of the things that agencies could cultivate on from my POV:

Well… no, of course not! But this thing will be a viral blast. Why would I know? Maybe because I forwarded it to at least 10 people already Except that it is not a campaign, but some nutshot in Braunschweig that seems to preach in front of a Vodafone shop:

… so why, why the heck, why? Honestly… I don’t know. I though I just shared the things I care about: the Internet, marketing, design, urban culture. And no, it (probably) won’t feature my butt. It will feature pixels though. Don’t be disappointed, huh?

So why keep asking stupid questions, just join the pahtey! Music pleeeaaase. Ah BTW… this song makes me look forward to the Vodafone Festival here in Cologne: Busy P, Bonde do Rolê, Dizzee Rascal, and many more. Yummie!
