Here comes Photosynth!

Many of you may have probably seen the cool cool cool presentation by Blaise Aguera y Arcas on TED last year (see video below). As of tonight, Micosoft Photosynth went out of beta! For those who ignored it so far: it’s an app (and browser plugin) that puts regular pictures into a virtual 3D-style panorama:

I know… hard to describe, so give it a try! It’s very visually rewarding, I can tell yer. So, is this big? Probably not. But it may definitely change the way we’re gonna take our holiday photos in the future. Make sure to pack a large enough memory stick for your next trip to the Grand Canyon…
